Army transformation
Increase: $25 billion
The Army will receive billions more for its continued reorganization into smaller, faster warfighting units.
Air Force space programs
Increase: Space Based Radar, $592 million; Advanced Extremely High Frequency satellite, $825 million.
The Pentagon continues its strong push for space-based technologies.
Joint Strike Fighter
No change
The Pentagon rejected an Air Force plan to cut back the Joint Fighter aircraft, which will eventually be fielded to the Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
Navy undersea technology
Increase: $600 million
The Navy will explore developing an undersea alternative to its submarine programs, looking at new propulsion systems.
